MP3 player MMC cards
On the computer
Use the CD that is included with the package.
For Windows 95 or Windows 98 use W958Setup.exe
For Windows ME use WMESetup.exe
For Windows NT use WNTSetup.exe
For Windows 2000 use W2KSetup.exe
For Windows XP use W2KSetup.exe
There are 4 distinct utilities within the Setup program.
Important, if at any time, any of the procedures asks you re-start the PC, make sure you DO NOT.
Only re-start your PC when all four utilities have finished otherwise you will have to start all over again.
Once the installaton is finished, Shutdown the PC.
Connect the power cable to a PS2 port (Mouse or Keyboard) on the PC.
Connect the mouse or keyboard to the female end of this connector.
Connect the third lead of the power cable to the MMC Writer.
Connect the 25 pin cable between Parallel printer port on the PC the MMC Writer (male).
Connect the printer cable to the other side (female) of the MMC Writer.
Restart the PC.
Turn on the MMC Writer so the red power light is showing.
The Printer Port settings in the BIOS should be set to ECP/SPP/EPP protocol. (They normally are).
There will now be 3 extra Icons on the desktop : - CDex, MP3Pro & MPMaster.


The portable player is capable of reading both MP3 & MP3Pro files. Both have a file extension of .MP3. Use CDex then MP3Pro to create your own MP3s from your CDs or get them from elsewhere. Some of the latest download sites can be found @ www.mp3.ltd.uk
Once you have MP3s on your hard drive, they can be placed on the MMC cards for the player to use.
On the writer
Insert the MMC card into the MMC writer attached to your PC.
Start MPMaster (or Absolute for 95 users)
(The first time you will be asked to indicate the port (1 2 3 or 4)

Locate the MP3 files by navigating using the left hand box (The Hard drive)
Drag the MP3 files from the top right hand top box to the bottom right box (The MMC card)
Remove the MMC card from the writer.
On the computer
Place the MMC card in one of the slots on the player.
Press Play.
